The government announced that the “Airports National Policy Statement: new runway capacity and infrastructure at airports in the South East of England” is the necessary first stage in the process of getting consent for a Heathrow 3rd runway.
Sarah Olney has welcomed promised improvements on the new South West Trains rail franchise which is due to start in August 2017 but has demanded that the Government explore transferring the running of suburban train services in South West London to Transport for London.
